Bell has secured the top spot in 10 Speedtest categories in Ookla’s latest report, which includes a new distinction for Canada’s Best Mobile Network.
In terms of internet, Bell took home first in four categories: Best Internet, Fastest Internet, Top Rated Internet, and Best ISP Gaming Experience.
Bell clinched the Best Internet award with a Speedtest Connectivity Score of 83.69, 0.31 points ahead of Telus, and almost three points ahead of Rogers. It was the same story with the Fastest Internet, too; Bell clinched the top spot by almost a point, with Telus right behind. Rogers would be in third by a significant margin, with Cogeco and Vidéotron rounding out the list.
It’s worth noting Ookla’s Speedtest Connectivity score is measured using various real-world performance metrics, which include speed, latency, web browsing, and video streaming. Per the company’s methodology, it calculates scores on a 1-100 scale using those metrics, weighted toward the median experience and toward download speeds.
In terms of Gaming, Bell clinched the Best ISP Gaming Experience award with a Game Score of 95.97, with Cogeco right behind at 92.33. The rest of the providers were all within just over a point of each other.

Also, Speedtest lets people rate their provider out of 5 stars at the end of a test, and Bell ended up with the highest rating (3.40 out of 5) among them. Videotron (3.20) ended up second-highest, and Rogers surprisingly had the lowest score at 3.
In terms of Wireless, Bell took home the top prize in six categories: Fastest 5G Network, Best 5G Network, Fastest Mobile Network, the new Best Mobile Network category, Best Mobile Gaming Experience, and Best 5G Gaming Experience.
Bell took home the Fastest 5G Network award by a significant margin, earning a 47.57 speed score, with second-place Telus (42.17) sitting almost five points behind them. It was a similar story with the Best 5G Network, with Bell earning almost two more Speedtest Connectivity points than second-place Telus (67.11). Rogers finished with a 65.78.

In 5G Gaming, Bell finished with a Game Score of 90.21, while Telus ended up second with 89.77. Rogers finished with a score of 88.72.
I should mention that Ookla’s Game Score is developed using latency and jitter measurements taken from “real world gamer servers,” and consumer-initiated performance metrics.
Moving to the mobile network categories, Bell finished with a top score of 62.94 for fastest mobile network, a significant margin ahead of second-place Rogers (59.73). Moving on to the new Best Mobile Network category, Bell took it home with a score of 74.50, while second-place Telus finished with 74.26. Rogers once again falls behind with a score of 73.98.
