It was all smiles at Voyzant’s offices recently as it presented Covenant House with a cheque for $75,000 that was raised to support that organization during the Voyzant Cares Charity Golf Tournament.
Voyzant’s inaugural Voyzant Cares Charity Golf Tournament was held at the beginning of June in support of Toronto’s Covenant House and it welcomed over 140 golfers at the Lionhead Golf Club.
Chippy Jegathesan, Voyzant’s CEO, observed at the time that: “This tournament is about more than golf; it’s about making a difference in the lives of others. The support we have seen from our sponsors, partners and participants demonstrates the power of coming together as a community to help those who need it most.”
The sold-out event brought together clients, partners, sponsors and industry supporters for a day of golf, networking and fundraising.
The tournament marked the first edition of what organizers intend to make an annual event, combining business community engagement with support for a local charitable cause.
Covenant House Toronto is Canada’s largest agency serving youth experiencing homelessness and human trafficking. Funds raised through the tournament will support programs and services including shelter, health care, education, job training and long-term support for vulnerable youth.
For Voyzant, the tournament builds on the work of Voyzant Cares, the company’s charitable initiative, which has supported a range of community and humanitarian efforts.
