PONANT EXPLORATIONS is adding 15 new voyages in alliance with Smithsonian Journeys for 2028, completing an expansive program of 36 itineraries that spans the world’s great oceans.
From the Mediterranean to the Canadian Maritimes and Asia and to the Arctic, the new release of small-ship cruises spotlights a rare voyage along Italy’s Adriatic coast and an eco-rich adventure exploring Costa Rica.

- Sailing the Adriatic: Treasures of Eastern Italy and Sicily. Departing: Sept. 27, 2028 from Venice, Italy to Valletta, Malta | Le Dumont d’Urville with Smithsonian Journeys Experts: Ross King, art historian & Allen Glazner, geologist on board.
