Kelly Clarkson has left her daytime talk show mostly behind, is gearing up for Season 30 of The Voice, and has been performing left and right. Currently, she is in Las Vegas for her residency and is as giddy as a schoolgirl. Yet, she did reject a fan in order to continue teaching a vital lesson to her daughter. Kelly Clarkson Is Booked & Busy
It has been a very busy time for Kelly Clarkson. She has been ending her beloved talk show while also preparing for the new season of The Voice. Additionally, there is new music ahead and a Las Vegas residency that will be running for a month. Fans are clamoring for a chance to see Kelly up close and personal, and they are loving every minute of her live shows. Recently, she was approached by a concertgoer but had to decline their advances. However, it was only to honor her daughter, River.
While Kelly was performing, a fan offered Kelly Clarkson a cocktail. It was not that Kelly was not interested, but she had taught River, 12, a lesson. Therefore, as she explained to the fan and the crowd, she could not back down:
“Right now, I need like — unless it’s [expletive] Red Bull…I’m having one of those nights where I was like, so excited about the show and like actually getting to do it that I did not sleep much. And I also promised my daughter, [who] knows better than me, to not take drinks from people that you don’t know.”
So, unless this was a very high powered energy drink, Kelly had to stick to her rule of not accpeting stranger danger drinks. She has been raising her two children, River and Remy, from her marriage to the late Brandon Blackstock. It has been vital to instill values in her kids and make them incredible little humans, which she seems to be doing.
Staying True To Her Family
Even as a rock star, Kelly Clarkson manages to stay true to her family and her values. She knows that she is trying to teach her kids lessons, so she will practice what she preaches. Although it is not always easy, she has always put her children and their needs first. When she chose to leave California for New York City, she saw how much it would and did benefity River and Remy. After fans saw the clip of Kelly Clarkson declining the drink, they applauded her:
- I mean, she isn’t wrong on multiple points!
- Kelly is a National treasure and should be protected at all costs!
- I don’t blame her
