Former Teen Mom star Jenelle Evans has had a rough road with her oldest son, Jace. Now, she is sharing an intimate update amid his mental health struggles, and he has been through so much this last year. Keep reading for more on what she had to say regarding the teen.
Jenelle Evans Cries All Of The Time For Jace
When Jenelle Evans was on 16 & Pregnant, she thought being a boy mom would be so much fun. She was dating an older guy, Andrew Lewis, and her life was about having fun. Yet, when her son, Jace, was born, she was not ready to give up the beach and party lifestyle. Plus, Andrew was not around, so she would have to be a single mother, which she did not care for. Ultimately, Jenelle turned over custody of Jace to her mother, Barbara, and went down a dangerous path. This included drugs, men, and arrests.
When Jace was 13, Jenelle got him back, but issues with her now ex-husband, David Eason, caused things to go awry. Jace went back to Barbara’s and has since entered a mental health facility. Followers have panned Jenelle for always putting herself before her children, but she is now speaking out. The Teen Mom alum shared a series of snaps, throwbacks, and new ones. In the caption, she noted that this was a “real update”:
“From what I choose to share, he’s working on himself and focusing on his emotions,” Evans wrote. “He’s obviously had ups and downs but I’m hoping for the best in his future. Here’s some awesome pictures of his progress.”
In one snap, Jace was being loved up by a pup and seemed to be in his glory.
In the second, he was doing horse therapy, which he also appeared to be enjoying thoroughly.
Jenelle Evans stated that she cannot stop crying as she just wants what is best for Jace and wants her son to be happy. Moreover, she will do whatever it takes to make that happen.
Backsliding With David
As much as Jenelle Evans claims that she wants what is best for Jace, she is also backsliding some. She has reconnected with her ex-husband, David Eason, which is a controversial move. He was a major problem with Jace, and this could lead to her son never wanting to return home to her. After seeing how well Jace is doing, fans slammed Jenelle. They felt that she was immature and very much a child:
- Red flag for sure calling your son your best friend. Your kids are not your friends they’re your kids. Once you can realize that you can really start parenting.
- You are not his best friend, you are his mother. Maybe you didn’t act like one being a child yourself.
