When Calls the Heart aired the Season 13 finale this past March. However, a recent update has gotten fans talking. In fact, Hallmark Channel has even since issued a response. That said, there was one thing quite a few fans were wishing for.
When Calls The Heart‘s Season 13 Finale, ‘Harvest Moon,’ Came With Plenty Of Twists & Turns
Since 2014, fans have been following the story of When Calls the Heart. Based on the works of Janette Oke, the series revolves around a young teacher, Erin Krakow’s Elizabeth Thatcher, after she moves to a small coal-mining town.
Recently, the long-running series wrapped up Season 13. However, fans are still talking about a lot of the events that played out during the season finale, “Harvest Moon,” which aired back in March.
Fans saw Elizabeth and Nathan Grant’s engagement play out, as well as Lucas kissing Edie. One surprise saved for the final moments was the appearance of Lori Loughlin’s Abigail Stanton.
With all the twists and turns, many fans were especially left wondering what could be next. In the meantime, the show recently teased the upcoming Season 14, complete with a question for fans and when to expect the new season.
Some Fans Are Hoping For Something In The Meantime, Like A Christmas Special
In a share on Instagram, Hallmark’s official account shared a clip with a caption, “2027 can’t come soon enough, #Hearties! There’s so much in store for the next season of When Calls the Heart. What are you most looking forward to?”
On social media, however, some fans took issue with having to wait until next year to see more of the show. In fact, taking to the comments, Hallmark even reassured viewers, “It’ll be here before you know it!”
Of course, some fans felt it was expected, considering the show’s usual schedule. That said, some fans hope they’ll get more from the franchise in the meantime. Some comments included:
- “A year is a long time to wait…”
- “I don’t want to wait that long; that’s a whole year. Can we divide it up and have two seasons.”
- “Next year? That’s a long wait for my favorite show! Can we get a Christmas special?”
- “Looking forward to Elizabeth & Nathan BEING MARRIED!!! But I worry we will never get to see it.”
- “I want it to come sooner hahah!! Buttt we do have our Abigail backkk finallyyy.”
- “Ugh gotta wait till 2027. Get writing folks so we get the wedding early! Also write about a Christmas episode.”
