The couple’s only child, Suri, was born in 2006. In addition, Tom has two adopted children from his marriage to ex-wife Nicole Kidman.
According to Page Six, the former couple’s daughter Suri has legally dropped her father’s last name. The twenty-year-old college student reportedly changed her surname to Noelle, as noted in voter registration records.
Suri is currently enrolled at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. She is registered to vote in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. During her freshman year in October 2024, her registration read “Suri Noelle.” The apparent new surname is notably Suri’s original middle name.
Suri Previously Used This Different Surname During Her 2024 High School Graduation
This isn’t the first time that Suri dropped her father’s name. She previously went as “Suri Noelle” for her high school graduation in June 2024. At the time, Cruise was seen attending Taylor Swift’s Eras tour in London.
Two months after this, Holmes spoke to Town & Country and made rare comments about her daughter. At the time, she shared, “I’m proud of my daughter. Of course, I will miss the close proximity, but I’m really proud of her and I’m happy.”
The actress continued, “I remember being this age, this time of beginnings. It’s exciting to learn about yourself, and I loved that time, so it makes me happy to think about it like that.”
For the most part, Suri has kept out of the spotlight in spite of her famous parents. She was recently seen photographed visiting her mother on the set of Happy Hours in New York City. The two were later photographed walking down the city streets. At the time, she reunited with her previous Dawson’s Creek co-star Joshua Jackson.
