Naturally, family is also important to the man behind Sonny, Maurice Benard. In a recent share on social media, he gave a rare look at his family life, as he spent time with two members of his family in particular.
Maurice Benard Recently Shared A Few Videos On Social Media Showing Off His Time Away From General Hospital
Benard is known to many for playing Sonny Corinthos on General Hospital, having previously played Nico Kelly on All My Children. In addition, he is also known for his mental health podcast, State of Mind with Maurice Benard, in which he often speaks with other soap stars.
In his personal life, the actor married Paula Smith in 1990. The two share four children together, including three daughters and one son. He and his wife adopted Paula’s sister, Heather, after their mother’s passing.
In addition to this, Benard also has three grandchildren: Eloise, TT, and Milo. Over the summer, he recently shared a look into the time he’s been spending with them.
On July 28, the actor shared a video featuring his granddaughter, TT. The two could be seen on a ranch playing with her dolls.

As Benard captioned the post, “As we all know, you never know what TT‘s gonna do from 1 second to the next. This time it caught me really off guard…” He also teased future plans with his soap family, adding, “Oh yeah, she’s gonna be at the GH luncheon JUST BEWARE.”
In the video, Benard held one of TT’s dolls. Speaking with his granddaughter, he admitted, “I’ve never really played with dolls before.”
A few days prior, Benard shared a video with his grandson, Milo. The actor’s grandson shared his baseball with his grandfather, with Benard sweetly sharing that Milo was making him laugh. He captioned the post, “Baby Milo is so different than his sister TT but at the same time, what makes them who they are is very special.”
TT and Milo are both the children of Benard’s oldest daughter, Cailey. His third grandchild, Eloise, is Heather’s daughter. Over the years, Benard has often made time for the grandkids at his home base in Temecula, California, which is also home to many of the family’s farm animals.
