Lacey Chabert has earned the titles of “Queen of Hallmark” or the “Queen of Christmas Movies” thanks to her work in a number of Hallmark movies. Naturally, the star has a few more Christmas stories to share with fans. Recently, she opened up about an emotional reaction she had while working on her latest project.
Lacey Chabert Recently Discussed Her Latest Hallmark Project On Live! With Kelly & Mark
As an actress, Chabert became known to audiences at a young age through her roles on All My Children and Party of Five. She gained further recognition as a voice actress and for appearing in 2004’s Mean Girls.
Over the years, Chabert has become well known for her appearances in Hallmark Channel films. Chabert has even played a few notable recurring characters in Hallmark film series. This includes Tess Harper in the Crossword Mysteries films and Avery Hastings in The Wedding Veil trilogies.
Chabert is set to appear in the upcoming House of Mouse-themed holiday story, Hallmark’s Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True. Recently, she discussed the upcoming film during an interview on Live! With Kelly and Mark, including learning surprising news on set.
During the conversation, the actress shared that she even tumbled out of frame while filming another project when she got the call telling her that she would appear in the Magic Kingdom-set film. Speaking with Consuelos and guest co-host Kevin Jonas, Chabert shared, “You guys, I had a dream come true. I got to go to Disney World and make a movie. When they called and asked me to be a part of it, I was on camera. I fell off camera. I started crying!”
The actress noted that she asked to stay “at a Disney property” during production. This came true when she ended up living at the Animal Kingdom Lodge while they “filmed at the park for weeks on end.” She described this as a personal “pinch me moment.”
Chabert Got To Work With One Former Disney Channel Star In Hallmark’s Holiday Ever After: A Disney World Wish Come True
Chabert noted that she worked with Richard Kind, who played her father in the project, and former Disney Channel child star Christy Carlson Romano. For her part, Romano was known for appearing in the live-action sitcom, Even Stevens, and the animated series, Kim Possible.
This all caused Chabert to share her own history with the Disney park. Sharing that she “went to Disneyland first” in California with her family as a child, she later visited the Florida park as part of Party of Five when she was 12 years old.
Ultimately, the nostalgia really brought out Chabert’s emotions. The star shared, “I said to my mom, ‘I love it so much here,’ because it ended up being a lot of good family memories for me. I was like, ‘I think I’m going to work here one day.’ So, when I found myself on Main Street filming this movie, it just brought tears to my eyes. Nothing like a childhood dream come true.” Of course, this time around, Chabert said that she was able to bring her own daughter along with her.
Hallmark also praised Chabert for the appearance. When the moment was shared on Instagram, their official account took to the comments to share, “That’s our Christmas Queen!”
The upcoming film sees Chabert play Lindsey, a woman staying at Disney World with her family. She discovers that a man she went on a bad first date with is staying in the room next to hers. The movie is expected to debut as part of the upcoming Countdown to Christmas programming slate, but an exact premiere date has not been announced.
