Lisa Vanderpump claimed that she did not want Stassi Schroeder fired from Vanderpump Rules after Season 8. She had always wanted her to pay, learn, and grow, all while in front of a camera. That did not happen, but LVP was able to keep the mother of two relevant amid the scandal that rocked her world. Keep reading for more details on how she was able to keep her afloat.
Stassi Schroeder Was Canceled
For eight seasons, Vanderpump Rules fans loved seeing what Stassi Schroeder was wearing and wanted to imitate her catchphrases. Then, in 2020, she was let go from the show alongside Kristen Doute, Max Boyens, and Brett Cap. She had made allegations against former co-star Faith Stowers, which were deemed racially motivated. After that, her career was over, but she was also expecting her first baby, so she needed to find a way to rebound. Lisa Vanderpump openly admitted that Stassi should never have been fired.
She should have paid the consequences, learned her lesson, and grown rather than suffering in silence. Thanks to LVP, Stassi got another chance and was able to rebuild her career and her bank account. Of course, she did pen her second book in 2022, but in 2024, she was welcomed on Vanderpump Villa. That was an opening back on reality television that Stassi Schroeder so desperately needed and has since given her House of Stassi. An insider claimed this of LVP swooping in and saving the day:
“After Stassi lost nearly all of her income and needed a paycheck, Lisa Vanderpump basically saved her career by inviting her to be on Vanderpump Villa.”
The insider added that Vanderpump Villa was essentially a trial to see how Stassi would do back on reality TV. It seems she held her own because House of Stassi got an eight-episode order. The insider concluded:
“So Hulu is banking a lot on Stassi and supports her fully, but she has LVP to thank for getting the ball rolling.”
After she was fired from Vanderpump Rules, Stassi Schroeder lost her podcast and was persona non grata. She had sunk to her lowest point, despite her pregnancy, and it even strained her longtime friendships.

Back & Better Than Ever
After two seasons of Vanderpump Villa, Stassi Schroeder is back and better than ever. She has written her third book, gone on tour, and now has a hit Hulu series. Moreover, she has walked in the Sports Illustrated Swimsuit Runway show and reconnected with some lost friends. After premiering on July 29th, fans are praising Stassi’s reality series:
- House of Stassi is already wayyyy better than The Valley. I just finished the first episode, and I love it, and I could barely get through the first season of The Valley. I know there are a lot of Stassi haters, but say what you will, that b*tch is entertaining af.
Time will tell how long her star will keep rising, but Lisa Vanderpump has always been on her side. Do you agree that LVP kept Stassi Schroeder afloat? Let us know in the comments below.
