Sheinelle Jones has shared a lot about her life during her working on Today, especially as she started hosting the program’s fourth hour. Recently, she even welcomed fans into her home, in a manner of speaking. During a recent segment of the show, she showed off a piece of her home after a renovation.
Sheinelle Jones Appeared With Designer Preston Konrad On A Recent Episode Of Today
Jones first joined Today in 2014, initially serving as a co-host on Weekend Today. By 2019, she expanded her role as a weekday co-host on Today‘s third hour.
Earlier this year, Jones became the permanent co-host of Today‘s fourth hour. Jones officially took over for Hoda Kotb, with Jenna working with a number of guest co-hosts in the interim.
Throughout her time on the show, Jones has often given fans a glimpse at her everyday life. Recently, she gave viewers a look at one of the spaces in her new home amid a recent renovation.
During a recent segment of Today With Jenna & Sheinelle, Jones shared, “I recently moved to a new apartment with a completely empty patio. I’ve always wanted to entertain, especially now, so I went to Crate & Barrel. And then, I tagged one of my favorite humans on the planet, who’s a designer extraordinaire, Preston Konrad, to help me out a little bit.”
Konrad himself noted that he and Jones wanted to bring “character and personality” to her spacious patio. He explained, “She’s got all this beautiful new furniture, but we need the layers, we need the personality, and it has to feel like her.”
The Segment Ended With A Housewarming Party Hosted By Jones
Sheinelle worked with the designer to develop renderings of the space. Afterward, Konrad would handle arranging the purchased pieces. He shared, “We want to make it feel like indoor rooms: a dining area, a living area, and a little bit of a nook just to hang out.”
Jones later joined him in the decorating process. She stated, “I know there are those of you who are like me out there who… you may not have a green thumb… but you still want the look.” Konrad then shared some design tops for fans, such as using different pillows than ones used with furniture pieces.
After this, chef Krissy Downey helped Jones prepare for a house party, including making a vegetable tart. Things ended with Jones hosting many of her friends on the patio for a housewarming party. She shared, “Thank you guys for being my first houseguests. I want to toast to summer, to friendship, and good times, and love, and all the good things.”
