Joe Rogan & His Podcast Recently Ranked High On A List From Forbes
Handler is a comedian known for a variety of television shows. These include E!’s Chelsea Lately and Netflix’s Chelsea.
Recently, Handler made headlines after discussing another figure in the media. This was podcaster and comedian Joe Rogan after his name appeared on a certain Forbes list.
This was Forbes‘ “Highest-Paid Podcasters of 2026.” Rogan was also ranked in the Number 1 stop, estimated to earn $82 million this year with The Joe Rogan Experience.
Forbes shared their list of the top 20 highest-paid podcasters, by their estimation, on Instagram. For example, Jason and Travis Kelce were ranked in the #7 spot. They were estimated to earn $35 million for New Heights. Charlamagne Tha God also got the #10 spot, estimating $27 million for The Breakfast Club.
Taking to the comments, Handler took issue with making so much money with a podcast. As she mused, “WHO IS PAYING JOE ROGAN 82 million? Give that to our vets, or our children!!!” She also shared a few words aimed at Rogan directly, sharing, “82 million to be completely uninformed and say ‘whoopsie doodle,’ every time he’s wrong, which is FREQUENT?”
A Few Commenters Have Been Sharing Their Own Reactions To Chelsea Handler’s Comments
Rogan launched his podcast in 2009. He also received a three-year contract with Spotify in 2024, having joined with the streamer in 2020. Rogan normally records around 15 podcasts each month, meaning about one every-other day, and pulls at least 80 million in downloads and views monthly.
Rogan’s videos usually run for around three hours. Based in Austin, Texas, he has also hosted a number of prominent guests over the years, including President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance.
With Handler’s recent comments, a few others have shared their reactions. While some agreed with her, others also came to his defense, even highlighting that he and Handler have similar lines of work. Some comments included:
