There’s a lot of drama going on right now between ex-lovers and DWTS stars, Gleb Savchenko and Elena Samodanova. After Gleb supposedly hid their daughter, Elena started fighting. However, according to the lawyer, one of them might be lying. Keep reading for all the juicy details regarding the case.
Gleb Savchenko’s Daughter Missing?
Earlier this week, it was reported that Elena Samodanova said her ex-husband took her daughter, Olivia, and is keeping her hidden from her. Apparently, Olivia and her mother live in Hong Kong. However, in May, she went to CA to be with her dad for a while. Her mom started making accusations when Olivia didn’t return from her US trip.
While Elena claims that her daughter has been hidden from her, Gleb has always said that that’s not true.
“There is a lot of context missing from what has been alleged. Olivia is safe, she is not being hidden, and I am not avoiding authorities. This is an ongoing family court matter involving longstanding custody and residency issues, and I am addressing everything through the proper legal channels with my attorneys,” Gleb originally says.
Lawyers Get Involved
Now, things are going even further as there are now attorneys involved in the situation. One filing reads that Olivia is not missing, and her mom most certainly knows where she is. Not only that, but Olivia has even been in contact with her DWTS mom. So, according to the lawyers, Elena is lying big time about the situation, US Weekly reports.
“Elena knows where Olivia and Gleb are, and any claims otherwise, are false. Moreover, Olivia has spoken to her mother, who, oftentimes, insults and threatens her. Thus, Olivia has made a reasoned decision to limit such communications, especially after her mother interfered in her academic prospects in California. Thus, any claim that Olivia is being hidden, is untruthful.”
Avoiding Her Mom?
Gleb further explains that Olivia is old enough now to determine how much she talks to her mom. He reports that the pair don’t have a great relationship, so Olivia has made changes to her phone number so that her mom can no longer get ahold of her.
“Elena does not seem to respect the fact that our daughter is just about 16 years old and expresses her own desires, wants and needs. Most phone calls do not go well with Olivia and her mother. Thus, Olivia has opted to change her phone number of her cell phone and not provide the number to her mother. This is Olivia’s choice. Moreover, Olivia has no desire to communicate with her mother ‘no less than 3 times per day’ as her mother requests.”
Needless to say, it seems this situation has really gotten out of hand. Only time will tell where the family ends up and if Olivia is forced to go back to Hong Kong.
