Drew Barrymore’s talk show already has a new season right around the corner, but the actress and host still has stories to share. In one recent resurfaced moment, fans saw Drew take part in a reunion that had her choking back tears. Since then, fans have been sharing their reactions to the moment.
The Drew Barrymore Show‘s Season 7 Is Set To Premiere This September
Drew started her career as a child actress, gaining fame in E.T. the Extra-Terrestrial. Later, she starred in films including Ever After, The Wedding Singer, Charlie’s Angels, and 50 First Dates.
Starting in 2020, Barrymore hosted her own namesake daytime talk show, The Drew Barrymore Show. Back in March, the series was renewed for a seventh and eighth season, with it set to run until 2028.
Currently, the talk show is on summer break, airing reruns until Season 7 is set to debut in mid-September 2026. In the meantime, the show’s Instagram page has been sharing classic moments from the show.
During one such resurfaced moment, “Drew reunites with a flight attendant who comforted her many years ago.” In the clip, originally from 2023, the flight attendant told Barrymore, “When I met you, you were crying in my galley,” while holding a photo of the two together from her phone. She continued, “And we sat in my galley, and you cried and cried because you were going through so much.”
The actress asked the flight attendant if she remembered what she was going through at the time. She responded that she did, noting, “You were just bawling, and I just was holding you.”
Many Praised Drew For Her Openness With The Story
It was then that Barrymore climbed the stairs to embrace the attendant. She shared, “That was a really, really hard year; it was actually the year I stopped drinking,” while choking back tears. She continued, “When you stop drinking, it’s not like all your problems go away; there’s still a ton of work to be done. It’s a way to honor yourself and be consistent and let room in for other things.”
Barrymore then asked the woman for her phone number. She noted, “There was a reason we met that day; thank you for letting me be so honest and transparent with you then. And thank you for being that with me now.” She added, “I love you, and I’m so glad we’re here today talking about this.”
Since the share, fans have been reminiscing about the moment on social media. In addition, many shared words of support and respect toward both Drew and the flight attendant. Some comments included:
