What would you do if you were swallowed by a whale? Would you accept your fate or simply watch the second official Trailer for survival thriller Whalefall.
20th Century Studios have released the latest promo through the night and like the first promo thsis looks fantastic. From the opening segment we can see this film is going to be epic in scale.
How many stories do we know about a man swallowed by a Sperm Whale? In Whalefall that man will be Austin Abrams(Weapons) who is Jay Saunders. He finds himself on a emotional journey after the sudden death of his father (Brolin) whose boat sinks at sea. He decides to go diving looking for evidence of the boat only to be swallowed accidentally by a whale. With time against him can Jay escape?
This also stars Josh Brolin, Elisabeth Shue, John Ortiz, Jane Levy, and Emily Rudd. Brian Duffield (No One Will Save You) directs this one.
We’ve seen the survival films such as Buried (Ryan Reynolds), 127 Hours (James Franco) even Fall (second film out next month). This one looks to isolation, claustrophobia and odds to another level. Our curiosity are eager to see how they pull the impossible off, I wonder if he’s read the Jonah and The Whale?
Synopsis | Following the death of his father (Josh Brolin), Jay Gardiner (Austin Abrams) goes diving off the central Coast of California in search of his remains, but is swallowed by a massive sperm whale. While trapped inside its belly with only one hour of oxygen left, Jay comes to realize that the hard-earned lessons his father imparted may be the key to his escape.
Whalefall will be released in UK, Irish and U.S cinemas from 16th October.
