Fans have been following Reba McEntire’s love story with Rex Linn over the past few years, especially as a wedding reportedly draws closer. During a recent share, however, she expressed that the current, reportedly star-studded, guest list could start problems. However, the star ended up getting a surprising suggestion.
Reba McEntire & Rex Linn Have Been Engaged Since 2024
McEntire is a prolific singer who is often dubbed the “Queen of Country.” Many also know her for her work in television, including her self-titled sitcom Reba and Happy’s Place. She is also known for serving as a vocal coach on The Voice.
In her personal life, Reba has recently become known for her relationship with Rex Linn, with the two having first started dating in 2020 and becoming engaged in 2024. The two also play love interests on Happy’s Place.
Recently, the star opened up about the upcoming nuptials on Entertainment Tonight. At the time, she admitted that, when asked about the wedding plans, they were “not [going] very well.”
Reba explained, “Every time we plan on something, he gets a job or we get back into the third season [of Happy’s Place] … and you can’t plan something that we think is going to be a week or two.” She noted, “It’s not going to be a wedding day—it’s going to have to be three or four days.”

There’s also the issue of the guest list. Reba shared that she wants everyone who watched their love blossom to attend, even the couple’s animals, which reportedly included donkeys, horses, and dogs. Naturally, a few stars are also expected to attend.
However, McEntire admitted that this was easier said than done. As she explained, “Rex has his list, and I have my list, and if we leave anybody out we’re going to hurt somebody’s feelings.”
In particular, there’s the question of who is going to sing at the wedding. She shared, “So, not sure how the music is going to roll.” On a lighter note, however, it was jokingly suggested to the star to turn her wedding into a massive country music showcase.
