G Adventures and its non-profit partner, Planeterra, have officially dropped the details for the 2026 GX Summit taking place in Cambodia this September. From headline speakers at the World Community Tourism Summit to exciting itinerary updates, the community tourism pioneer is also excited to unveil the much-anticipated act for its iconic closing party – world-renowned mashup artist DJ Earworm.
Based in San Francisco, DJ Earworm (a.k.a. Jordan Roseman), who has earned global acclaim for his revolutionary ability to blend the world’s biggest tracks into unified musical masterpieces, will party alongside 650 GX attendees at Labyrinth, Siem Reap, celebrating the power of tourism to change the world. Best known for his annual United State of Pop series, Roseman is bringing a custom, two-hour musical retrospective set to celebrate G Adventures’ 36-year legacy.
G Adventures founder, Bruce Poon Tip said that: “Building a great mashup is all about taking different elements and threading them into something that’s so much greater than the sum of its parts. That’s the exact heartbeat of GX: bringing different people, places, and communities together from around the globe to build a shared experience that moves as one.”
And Poon Tip continued: “GX was built to celebrate the transformative impact travel can have when it’s done right, and we are so excited to bring the GX energy to Cambodia, a country defined by its incredible resilience, history, and warmth. After a week of seeing the power of travel to change lives firsthand, attendees will party into the night at the iconic closing party, and we’re pumped to welcome DJ Earworm to bring the beat.”
The GX week will be packed with community-focused experiences, including a spectacular ‘Festival Fair’ at the historic Wat Phnom, a private river cruise to the Silk Village (where traditional weaving supports income for local artisans), lunch at a local homestay supporting conservation efforts in the nearby area close to the ancient temple complex of Sambor Prei Kuk, and tuk tuk rides around iconic Angkor Wat (driven by Lady Tuk Tuk, an all-female team of drivers), creating meaningful earning opportunities for women and meals at vocational restaurants supporting youth training. In true G style, the full itinerary remains a surprise with announcements revealed on trip.
The week culminates with the World Community Tourism Summit on September 27, where thought leaders from around the world take to the stage to share new perspectives on how travel can be a force for good.
But this is no ordinary conference. The ‘non-conference’ theme continues with performances from local artists and community groups, bringing local flair to the stage, exciting updates from G Adventures, as well as GX’s first-ever live on-stage podcast recording with world-leading B2B travel podcast Travel Trends. Back for a second year, Judy Kepher Gona from Sustainable Travel and Tourism Africa will deliver another powerful keynote on the importance of active listening and building meaningful dialogue with local communities.
In celebration of the newly launched National Geographic Signature with G Adventures collection, which brings local communities into the high-end travel conversation, Khadija Amahal, an Indigenous Amazigh community member and newly appointed National Geographic Expedition Expert in Morocco, will step onto the stage to explore the power of community, connection and storytelling. The day will also feature local Cambodian changemakers who have sparked meaningful impact in their communities.
After a day of inspiration, the first leg of wrap-up festivities begins at the breathtaking Bayon Temple, offering attendees a rare, private gathering surrounded by the iconic stone faces and lush jungle to honour Cambodia’s rich history. From there, the night transitions into a high-energy celebration where DJ Earworm takes the stage, bringing the global travel community together on the dance floor.
