It was just announced that Leah Remini joined the cast of The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills for Season 16. That being said, fans are wondering what her status is with her former friend Jennifer Lopez. They had been immensely close, and then it seemed that they had a falling out. So, did they reconcile before Leah signed on to RHOBH? Keep reading for more details on where the ladies stand.
Leah Remini Secures A Diamond
Rumors have been flying as to who will be joining the cast of RHOBH for Season 16. Tracy Tutor was confirmed, but it seemed that there was one slot still open for a newcomer. After all, Amanda Frances announced her departure after just one season. Then, Leah Remini was revealed as the final diamond holder, and viewers were thrilled. They felt that she would hold OG star Kyle Richards’ feet to the fire and bring a new flavor and energy to the show. At the same time, another question arose. Would her longtime bestie, Jennifer Lopez, pop in for a guest appearance?
That is a great question, and a J.Lo appearance would be amazing for the franchise. However, some followers pointed out that the two had a falling-out:
- I don’t believe they are friends anymore
- I thought they weren’t that close anymore.
- They aren’t close anymore unfortunately
The two had been extremely close for years and were always spotted together. Then, they became estranged, and no one could quite pinpoint what happened. Per an insider, it revolved around Jennifer’s relationship with Ben Affleck, along with filming and promoting the movie, Second Act. Jennifer Lopez and Leah Remini were always together, which allegedly became “overwhelming.” Then, the Ben aspect did not help things:
“Leah and Ben never really clicked, and that definitely created a bit of a wedge between Jennifer and Leah for a period of time. It wasn’t some huge dramatic falling out or anything like that, but over time Jennifer just took a step back from the friendship.”
Leah did not go to Jennifer’s wedding to Ben, but they were able to reconnect when they mutually filed for divorce in 2024. She reassured the press and the public that things had changed, but it did not mean that it was for the worse.
Do People Want J.Lo On RHOBH?
Fans are thrilled for the addition of Leah Remini, but do they really want Jennifer Lopez to show up? Although that would be an exciting pop-in, is she someone who would make Season 16 or hurt it?
