Sunny Hostin is known to many through her work on The View. However, she’s worn all sorts of hats throughout her career. In fact, she recently talked about a new career venture, one that touches on ongoing conversations about AI.

The View‘s Sunny Hostin Has Had Many Jobs, From Lawyer To Author

Hostin is a lawyer and media personality who started her television career as a commentator for Court TV. Throughout her career, she has worked for outlets including CNN, Fox News, and ABC News.

For many, Sunny is best known for her role as a co-host for The View. First appearing on the show around 2014, she became a permanent co-host in 2016.

Recently, news has come out that Hostin signed a licensing agreement with AI entertainment company Fountain0. The studio will have access to Hostin’s name and likeness under certain terms that Hostin herself controls. The deal will also allow Hostin’s novels to be adapted into film and television.

According to Variety, Hostin shared her view that “top-quality AI productions cannot only enable writers and directors to have their imaginations unleashed and no longer be tethered to budgetary constraints.” She also felt that AI technology can “pioneer a new art form which can open up new dimensions for how public personalities can engage with audiences.”

Hostin was especially excited to see her work adapted. She expressed, “To be able to bring my novels to life in movie and TV form, and actually have my image inserted in the productions, so that audiences can relate to me through my stories beyond my role as an author, is incredibly exciting to me. This entire generational innovation in filmmaking from Fountain 0 gives me confidence that AI can give me a way to both more fully develop, and more fully immerse myself in, [intellectual property] I have developed.”

Hostin Previously Attempted To Adapt Her Summer On The Bluffs Series To The Screen

Fountain 0 previously made headlines with the AI-generated docudrama “Dreams of Violets,” which was directed by CEO Ash Koosha. This was followed by “Odysseus: The Fall,” which starred Koosha’s likeness as the title hero.

Koosha shared, “This is obviously new territory for major talent personalities. We are incredibly gratified that Sunny is willing to be the talent pioneer willing to step out and take advantage of this new form of creative expression. Sunny, of course, will be able to decide which of her works she develops into a film, and what roles her image can be incorporated into under a licensing agreement which gives her strict control over how her image can be used.”

Hostin previously attempted to adapt her books to the screen beforehand, including the 2022 series, Summer on the Bluffs. As the outlet noted, her recent decision reflects the ongoing conversation about AI and intellectual properties. Hostin added, “I feel particularly strongly that there is a need to bring stories to the big screen that are more in tune with the lives of diverse audiences that Hollywood focuses too little on, and I believe Fountain 0’s AI productions can have a major impact on responding to the interests of these underserved audiences.”

What is your reaction to Sunny Hostin’s share? Have you been following this story? Are you keeping up with The View? Make sure you come back to TV Shows Ace for all the latest TV and celebrity news.
