The fourth match of the Namibia T20I Tri-Series 2026 will see South Africa take on Zimbabwe at the Namibia Cricket Ground in Windhoek. With both teams eyeing a strong position in the standings, the upcoming encounter promises another competitive battle.

    South Africa start as favourites

South Africa will enter the contest with confidence after comfortably beating Zimbabwe by seven wickets on August 29 in their previous meeting. Led by captain Bjorn Fortuin, the Proteas have a promising combination of young talent, aggressive batters and versatile bowling options.

Players such as Dewald Brevis, Tony de Zorzi and Lhuan-dre Pretorius provide plenty of firepower in the batting department. With Kwena Maphaka leading the pace attack and spinners such as Subrayen and Fortuin adding variety, South Africa have the resources to put Zimbabwe under pressure throughout the match.

Zimbabwe look to build on Namibia win

Zimbabwe, meanwhile, will take confidence from their dramatic five-run victory over Namibia in the third match of the series. The win came after a tense contest and demonstrated Zimbabwe’s ability to stay composed in pressure situations.

Captain Sikandar Raza will once again be a key figure, with experienced players Ryan Burl and Brad Evans also expected to play important roles. The presence of fast bowler Blessing Muzarabani gives Zimbabwe a potent option with the ball, and they will hope their experienced core can produce another strong performance.

A victory would be valuable for either side, potentially giving them a significant advantage in the tri-series standings.

    Namibia Cricket Ground Pitch Report

The Windhoek surface is generally known for providing a reasonably even contest between bat and ball. The new ball can offer pace, bounce and some movement for fast bowlers, particularly during the opening overs. As the innings progresses, the surface can become slightly slower, bringing spinners into the game during the middle overs.

A first-innings total in the region of 150–165 runs is likely to provide a competitive platform. Chasing could become increasingly difficult if the target moves beyond 165, making batting first a potentially attractive option for the team winning the toss.
