The Angels have acquired catcher Tyler Heineman from the Blue Jays. The Jays, who designated the backstop for assignment a few days ago, receive cash considerations in return. The Halos had an open 40-man spot and don’t need to make a corresponding move in that regard. However, Heineman is out of options and will need an active roster spot whenever he reports to the team.
