Felix Auger-Aliassime of Montreal, Quebec and Victoria Mboko of Burlington, Ontario reached the third round of the 2026 French Open on Thursday. Auger-Aliassime defeated Roman Andres Burruchaga of Argentina 4-6, 6-0, 7-5, 6-1 and Mboko defeated doubles specialist Katerina Siniakova of Czechia 5-7, 6-4, 6-2. Auger-Aliassime and Siniakova are both seeded in the top 10. Auger-Aliassime is fourth on the men’s side, and Mboko is seeded ninth on the women’s side.

In Auger-Aliassime’s Thursday win, the Canadian had the service advantage when it came to the ace. Auger-Aliassime had seven aces compared to three for Burruchaga. Auger-Aliassime also won 85% of his first serve points compared to 59% for Burruchaga. Auger-Aliassime had seven breaks of serve, compared to two for Burruchaga. Mboko, meanwhile, broke Siniakova eight times.

Next up for Auger-Aliassime, the two-time grand slam semifinalist (2021 and 2025 United States Open), is the 31st seed Brandon Nakashima of the United States. Auger-Aliassime beat Nakashima in their only prior matchup, 6-3, 6-4 in the quarterfinals of Florence in 2022. Next up for Mboko is another American, the 19th seed, and 2025 Australian Open champion Madison Keys. Mboko won their only prior matchup as well. That took place in the quarterfinals of Adelaide earlier this year. Mboko came through victorious in a 6-4, 4-6, 6-2 scoreline. Mboko and Auger-Aliassime will both be playing next on Saturday.
