Bailey Zimmerman may have faced one of the most difficult chapters of his career behind the scenes, but fans watching the 2026 CMA Fest television special saw the country singer at the top of his game. Zimmerman’s performance, which was filmed earlier this month during CMA Fest in Nashville, aired Thursday night as part of ABC’s three-hour primetime concert special, just days after prosecutors dropped the criminal charges stemming from his highly publicized New Mexico hotel incident. Although the CMA Fest television special aired on June 25, Zimmerman’s performance was recorded nearly three weeks earlier during the annual festival, which…
In La Guaira, Venezuelans are bracing for a second night out in the open. Those who lost their homes and those who fear returning to buildings cracked by Wednesday’s back-to-back earthquakes have set up a vast makeshift camp in the streets. Families are sheltering on highway medians, in parks, and in stadiums. The casualty figure kept rising throughout Friday, up to 920 deaths according to the government, which placed the number of injured at upwards of 3,000.Aftershocks raise fears that things could get worse, if that were possible. Some areas remain without power or phone signal, while in others, power…
A group of Democratic senators introduced a new bill on Thursday that would create a $5,000 cap on out-of-pocket costs for traditional Medicare beneficiaries. The Medicare Cost Cap Act was introduced by Senator Lisa Blunt Rochester (D-Delaware), Senate Finance Committee Ranking Member Ron Wyden (D-Oregon) and Senate Democratic Leader Chuck Schumer (D-New York). The bill seeks to “level the playing field” between traditional Medicare and Medicare Advantage, which has annual out-of-pocket spending caps (as do employer-sponsored insurance and coverage bought on the marketplace). In traditional Medicare, which does not currently have an out-of-pocket cap, it’s estimated that over the next…
Soccer fans may soon be able to catch more than just flights while traveling this summer on one of America’s largest airlines. Just in time for the world’s largest sporting event—the FIFA World Cup—travelers will be able to stream live entertainment on some United Airlines flights with Starlink Wi-Fi, thanks to a collaboration with DirecTV. The experience, which includes a number of live TV channels, will continue through July 20 on “as many as 150 Starlink-enabled aircraft,” according to a United announcement this week. “This technology has the potential to transform how we think about the inflight experience for both…
AI was supposed to scale by removing humans. That was the promise. Build the product, automate the interaction, take the human out of the loop, and watch the margins compound. It was the SaaS playbook applied to intelligence. The companies putting AI into real operations are discovering the opposite. The more responsibility you give to AI, the closer you need to be to your customer. Not just at deployment, but continuously. This is the paradox of AI. It scales by moving people closer, not by removing people. AI CHANGES THE NATURE OF THE PRODUCT The old SaaS model was elegant.…
By Darragh McDonald | at June 26, 2026 2:16pm CDT The Blue Jays announced that they have recalled left-hander Adam Macko. Righty Simeon Woods Richardson has been designated for assignment as a corresponding move. That drops the club’s 40-man roster count to 39, though they reportedly plan on selecting infielder Sean Keys tomorrow, so that spot may not stay vacant for long. More to come.
General Atlantic has tapped tennis legend Novak Djokovic to serve as a global strategic advisor, where, according to a press release, he “will work closely with the firm’s leadership, portfolio companies, and investors, bringing perspectives on leadership, resilience, and innovation that reflect General Atlantic’s commitment to excellence.” The news comes just days before Djokovic is set to play at Wimbledon, with his eyes set on a 25th Grand Slam title. The partnership, in many ways, makes sense. Djokovic has invested in a handful of wellness companies, including Waterdrop in 2023, and co-founded his own supplement company, SILA, in 2024, followed by…
Ayo, Kamala Harris cheered on the U.S. Men’s National Soccer Team on June 25 with a short Instagram caption that somehow turned into a conversation about *NSYNC. Harris, the former Vice President, kept it brief. “Let’s go @usmnt!” she wrote. Then came the real headline: “And thank you to our excellent photographer @lancebass!” Lance Bass. Of *NSYNC. Behind the camera. For Kamala Harris. During the World Cup. The 2026 FIFA World Cup is happening right now across the United States, Canada, and Mexico. It’s the first time the tournament has come back to American soil since 1994. Every host city…
