Jennifer Lopez and Ben Affleck are reportedly reconnecting following their divorce, with sources claiming that the couple has started getting close again and supporting each other.
Affleck, who was married to Lopez for two years, has been there for the singer as she continues to carry the weight of a demanding workload, raising concern that she is taxing herself far too much.
The pair are supposedly in frequent contact, sparking speculation about a romantic reunion that sources say is a real possibility.
According to Globe Magazine, Lopez has been leaning on her former husband as she continues to navigate a reportedly packed schedule.
A source tells the outlet that the former couple “spend a lot more time together these days than anyone realizes.”
The source alleged that Affleck has been keeping up with Lopez through frequent phone conversations “at all hours.” Affleck is apparently attempting to support her in what is reported to be a difficult time for the actress.
“They seem to be back to their same old dynamic where she’s going to him for advice on everything,” they noted.
Lopez has reportedly been taking on more commitments even as her schedule is already crowded, prompting people around her to worry. According to the insider, “People are worried she’s going to have another breakdown.”
The worries about her overworking herself aren’t unprecedented, as the “Jenny from the Block” singer previously had a health scare from taking on too much without allowing herself the time to rest.

Lopez’s history of burdening herself with a lot of work once resulted in “scary symptoms,” as the singer reportedly couldn’t see and felt paralyzed.
According to Page Six, Lopez revealed that she didn’t pay attention to her limitations early on in her career and once worked “98 days in a row without taking a day off,” which resulted in a health scare that sent her to the hospital.
The singer, after working herself to the bone, would feel the consequences acutely as the exhaustion finally caught up to her on the set of her 2002 thriller “Enough.”
She said, “Every time I walk to the set, I start getting a little pitter-patter in my heart… it got to the point I was like, I really feel nervous.”
Lopez added that she retreated to her trailer to relax, but the symptoms got worse: “I went back to the trailer, and I sat down, and all of a sudden, I just couldn’t see… like something just went over my eyes, and I couldn’t move.”
She would eventually find herself in front of a doctor who assured her that her symptoms were real, suggesting that she needed to take it easy.

It’s not just Lopez who is leaning on Affleck; sources have also claimed that the reverse has been the case, particularly after the death of Affleck’s mother, Chris Anne Affleck.
Affleck’s mother passed away earlier this year at age 83; she was given approximately six months to live after a terminal diagnosis in December 2025.
She died peacefully in her sleep two days after attending her grandson’s high school graduation, which was her greatest wish at the time.
The loss was especially significant for Affleck because he had lost his mother, with whom he shared a close relationship. Globe reports that Lopez reached out to him at the time, a gesture which “meant so much to him”.
“He let down his guard, and he’s been leaning on her,” the source said, adding that Lopez also started leaning on him again, as she too was struggling.
Their difficult circumstances brought the former lovers back to each other’s realm following their divorce in 2025.
