Two Canadian Olympic gold medalists are being inducted into the Hockey Hall of Fame in 2026. They are Patrice Bergeron of L’Ancienne-Lorette, Quebec and Carey Price of Vancouver, British Columbia. Bergeron won gold for Canada at the 2010 Olympic Winter Games in Vancouver and the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi. Price won gold for Canada at the 2014 Olympic Winter Games in Sochi.
Both Bergeron and Price played their entire careers with one National Hockey League franchise. Bergeron was a centre with the Boston Bruins for 19 seasons from 2003 to 2023. Price was a goaltender with the Montreal Canadiens for 15 seasons from 2007 to 2022.
Bergeron had 427 goals and 613 assists for 1040 points in 1249 NHL regular season games. He was a +289 with 494 penalty minutes, 326 power-play points, 48 shorthanded points, 81 game-winning goals and 3974 shots on goal. Bergeron won a record six Selke Trophies (2012, 2014, 2015, 2017, 2022, and 2023), the 2011 Stanley Cup, the 2013 King Clancy Memorial Trophy, the 2021 Mark Messier Leadership Award, and represented the Bruins at the 2015, 2016, and 2022 National Hockey League All-Star Game. Also with the Bruins, Bergeron had been the Bruins captain since 2020.
Price played 15 seasons with the Canadiens from 2007 to 2022. He was a six-time NHL All-Star, and had a spectacular 2014-15 NHL season. In 66 games, he had a record of 44 wins, 16 regulation losses, and six losses in extra time, with nine shutouts, a goals against average of 1.96 and save percentage of .933. Price won the Hart Trophy, Vezina Trophy, Pearson Trophy and Jennings Trophy that season too. In 712 regular season games, he had 361 wins, 261 regulation losses, and 79 losses in extra time, with a goals against average of 2.51, save percentage of .917 and 49 shutouts,
