The Winnipeg Blue Bombers beat the Ottawa RedBlacks 36-34 in an historic Canadian Football League game on Sunday night from the Toronto Dominion Place in Ottawa, Ontario. This was the first game in CFL history where the new overtime format was put into action. Under the new CFL rules, if a game is tied after two overtime periods, the game will no longer end in a tie. Instead, the game will be determined by two-point conversion attempts. The first team that successfully scores a two-point conversion and immediately stops the opponent from scoring two points in their two-point attempt (or vice versa), if the game is still tied after double overtime, records the victory.
