Charlotte Tilbury chief executive Demetra Pinsent will exit the makeup artistry brand after 14 years, The Business of Beauty has learned.
The news was announced internally to Charlotte Tilbury employees on Wednesday afternoon, according to two company sources.
In a statement to BoF, a Charlotte Tilbury spokesperson confirmed Pinsent “has decided to leave the business to pursue new opportunities.” Her last day at the company will be Feb. 26. While the brand has not named a successor, the spokesperson said that founder Tilbury will continue to lead the brand “creatively and commercially” in her capacity as president, chairman and chief creative officer.
Pinsent joined the brand at its inception in 2012, helping Tilbury translate her vision of runway makeup into a billion-dollar beauty business. Under her leadership, the company was acquired in 2020 by Spanish conglomerate Puig, which will assume full ownership by 2030.
Puig reported record revenues in 2025, with sales exceeding €5 billion ($5.9 billion). This lift was driven by “standout” performance in its makeup segment, according to an earnings release, which grew 10.7 percent on strong Tilbury sales.
