Eighth-placed Albion are targeting a third successive home win, although the Seagulls suffered their first defeat in six matches with a 3-1 loss at Newcastle last Saturday.

    Brighton vs Wolves stats

    • Brighton are unbeaten in their last eight league games against Wolves (W5 D3) since a 1-0 home loss in December 2021
    • They have only lost one of their last 16 Premier League games against sides starting the day in the relegation zone (W5 D10) but that defeat came 4-0 away against current Wolves boss Rob Edwards when he was manager of Luton Town in January 2024
    • In their first five Premier League seasons from 2017/18, Brighton’s most goals scored in a single campaign was 42 (2021/22). With 49 already this season, they’re one away from having netted 50 in each of the last four (72 in 2022/23, 55 in 2023/24, 66 in 2024/25)
    • Danny Welbeck has been involved in 14 Premier League goals this season for Brighton (13 goals, 1 assist), which is the most by a player aged at least 34 in a season since 2021/22, when both Cristiano Ronaldo (18 goals, 3 assists) and Jamie Vardy (15 goals, 2 assists) did so
    • That tally is also the joint-most by Welbeck in a campaign, along with 2024/25 (10 goals, 4 assists)
    • Wolves have lost one of their last six away league games against Brighton (W1 D4), capitulating 6-0 in April 2023
    • Defeat for Wolves would mean they’ve lost against all other 19 Premier League clubs this season and would be the second time a team has lost to every side they’ve faced in a campaign, after Sheffield United in 2023/24
    • They are winless in their last 19 away Premier League matches (D5 L14), last enduing a longer away winless league run between April 2003 and August 2004 (23 games)
    • With seven goals in 17 away Premier League matches this season, Wolves average 0.41 goals per game across those matches, better only than Norwich City in 2019/20, who managed 7 in 19 games for an average of 0.37
    • Visiting player Adam Armstrong is set to make his 100th Premier League appearance – the forward’s current total of 14 wins is the second-fewest of any player in their first 100 games, ahead only of former West Bromwich Albion midfielder Andy Johnson (12), while Armstrong’s 63 defeats are the most of any player in their first 100 games
