Double Lives of Suburban Wives star Heather Boyd is struggling to balance her personal and professional life.

In Us’ exclusive sneak peek of the Sunday, August 30, episode of TLC’s new reality show, Heather, 37, opens up to her friends about the struggle of keeping her work as an adult content creator from conflicting with her responsibilities as a mother.

“I don’t want to ruin the good girls’ night, but I’m just having an internal struggle about everything, about being exposed,” she shares. “I have older kids, and I’m just thinking, like, if they see it, how they’re going to feel about me.”

As cameras continue to roll, TLC’s newest reality star begins to understand that a TV show could — and would — usher in a whole new level of attention.

“Me and my husband, we’ve been doing this for so long, but obviously for so long it’s been hidden, and it’s been private,” Heather explains in a confessional interview. “Now it’s just feeling like getting exposed. I guess it just makes me wonder if we thought it all the way through, and I thought that we were ready for it, and now I’m just, I’m not so sure.”

While her group of friends listens without giving any shame or judgement, one gal pal makes it clear that things could get complicated.

“I’m not going to downplay it,” Heather’s friend says. “I’m sure there’s going to be really bad things that people are going to say.”

The adult content creator, however, doesn’t care about what strangers think. Instead, it’s the opinion of her kids that matters most.

“I don’t even really care what anyone else thinks. To me, that doesn’t matter,” Heather says in the preview clip. “I care what my kids think. That’s what’s getting me right now. Them seeing things that I just don’t know.”

In a separate confessional interview, Heather tries her best to hold back tears as she prepares for an unpredictable future.

“I’m kind of struggling tonight so I’m just trying to keep it together,” she says while crying. “On TV is a lot different than doing it on a private hidden page and then thinking if the kids watch it,  it makes me wonder what they’re going to think of me or how it’s going to affect them in the future with things that they want to do. I’m having struggles. I’m just having some internal struggles.”

Heather is just one of six ladies in the St. Louis area documented on Double Lives of Suburban Wives. TLC’s show highlights the complexities of their marriages, lives as parents and suburban lifestyles while making a mark in the adult content world.

Watch it all unfold when Double Lives of Suburban Wives airs on TLC Sundays at 10 p.m. ET.
