Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson recently opened up about a recent health scare with fans. During the moment, he shared something that made it especially hard for him as he waited for his results. He also shared a new way he’s been trying to keep healthy.
Dwayne ‘The Rock’ Johnson Discussed A Few Upcoming Projects While Opening Up About A Recent Health Scare
Johnson, also known by his ring name “The Rock,” is a professional wrestler and actor. Over the years, he’s become known for films including The Mummy Returns, The Scorpion King, Jumanji: Welcome to the Jungle, Moana, and the Fast & Furious films.
Johnson recently spoke with Esquire. At the time, he was discussing a few of his upcoming projects, such as the live-action remake of Disney’s Moana, in which he reprised his role as Maui. However, he shared that he also had more important issues on his mind.
Johnson shared that he felt a lump while showering this past Friday. The following Monday morning, he was having it checked out at a doctor’s appointment.
Johnson was told that it was most likely epididymitis, an inflammation caused by trauma or another infection. However, the doctor warned that it could also be cancer.
The actor needed an ultrasound to know for sure. Unfortunately, he was booked with promotions for Jumanji: Open World with costars Kevin Hart and Jack Black.
Johnson shared that keeping this news in the back of his mind during this event was an ordeal. He expressed, “So, I had to live with that for those twenty-four hours, not knowing—and I had to be on all day, joking around, making speeches.”
The Star Also Shared How He Was Using ChatGPT For His Health
Keeping his concerns a secret, Johnson admitted that he didn’t even confide in his wife of seven years, Lauren Hashian. He shared, “I didn’t even tell Lauren, I didn’t want to worry her before I knew if it was anything to even worry about.”
Fortunately, Johnson ended up with good news. He shared, “I’m fine. But I didn’t know that then, and the thing was really painful.”
Now that he knows he’s “okay,” Johnson revealed that he’s also been using ChatGPT to help keep in shape by developing exercise plans. He explained, “Within three seconds, it comes back with a training program that’s lights-out, pencils-down spectacular. Like it came from ten of the greatest coaches I’ve ever worked with. And then it’s telling me, ‘Make sure you’re taxing this muscle group halfway through—and make sure you’re getting enough carbs, and let’s add a little salt to your diet tonight because you’ve had a long day.’”
