Last season, Dancing with the Stars gave the mirrorball trophy to none other than Robert Irwin. Now, with a new season on the horizon, the team has already picked out his replacement. Keep reading to find out who they see at the end of the show.
Robert Irwin Wins DWTS
Last season of DWTS was full of talent. Robert Irwin danced his way through the whole season despite injuring his ribs. The star ended up in the final two alongside influencer Alix Earle. During the season finale, he finally took home his well-deserved win.
Of course, Robert already had status with who his father was. However, DWTS seems to have launched his career even further. Since his big win, he’s been invited onto multiple new shows, including I’m a Celebrity…Get Me Out of Here, which was filmed and aired in Australia. He is even on the Dancing with the Stars spinoff, The Next Pro.
It seems like he will be set up for the rest of his career with his TV appearances.
Now, with a new season coming out soon, the network has already picked who their top star will be.
The New Robert?
As previously reported, there is set to be a great cast in the new season of DWTS. And, it seems as though ABC has already picked out who will replace Robert Irwin. So, who do they have their eyes on? Savannah Bananas star, Jackson Olson.
For those who don’t know, the Savannah Bananas are known as the “Harlem Globetrotters of baseball.” They are a baseball team that mixes the sport with entertainment like dancing and singing. Naturally, this means Jackson already has a great stage presence. Apparently, ABC and Disney have realized that and are excited to see what he can do.
“Everyone at Disney and ABC is totally enamored already with Jackson,” a source says according to The Sun.
Apparently, he’s a total package, much like Robert Irwin was.
“He’s the next Robert Irwin in their eyes. He has the charisma, the good looks, the talent, and the wholesome personality that they are looking for,” the source says.
Not only do they love him, but it seems like they even want him to take home the win at the end of the season.
“They plan for him to be a standout this season and make it all the way to the end,” the source says. “They are planning on him snagging huge opportunities on future shows, potentially some acting, and outside hosting gigs, similar to Robert.”
Only time will tell how Jackson actually does against the competition.
