Shubman Gill guides India to convincing victory despite Archer’s early breakthrough

Although Archer’s wicket gave England early momentum, India recovered brilliantly through skipper Shubman Gill, who anchored the chase with a superb unbeaten 80 before retiring hurt due to cramps. His composed knock laid the perfect foundation after the early dismissals of Rohit Sharma and Kohli.

Gill also shared a crucial 101-run partnership with Shreyas Iyer to steady the innings before Axar Patel and Washington Sundar ensured there were no late hiccups.
