Erin Andrews is exclusively opening up to Us about trying for a second baby at age 48.

“It’s a lot harder at 48 than I ever thought it would be,” the NFL broadcaster recently told Us while promoting Cancerguard’s multi-cancer early detection test.

Andrews and her husband, Jarret Stoll, welcomed their son, Mack, via a surrogate in July 2023 following a multiyear fertility journey. The couple later tried for a second baby but shared the news in May 2025 that their surrogate had suffered a miscarriage.

In her recent interview with Us, Andrews confirmed that she and Stoll are “still trying” for baby No.2 — and she is, in fact, more determined than ever to grow her family.

Erin Andrews has never shied away from sharing the difficult realities of her fertility journey — and at 47, she’s still fighting to grow her family. During the April 14, 2026, episode of her “Calm Down With Erin and Charissa” podcast, Andrews shared an update on her latest attempt at IVF. “I decided to inject […]

“For some reason, I don’t take ‘no’ or bad visits very well. I said to my doctor the other day, ‘I’m not done,’” she told Us. “So yeah, I’m very, very interested in continuing this whole thing and seeing what I can do. Listen, I feel like I’ve been through a lot before, and I’ve come out on the other side. So I’m ready to rewrite a little history with this too.”

Asked if she had any advice for couples going through a similar situation, Andrews replied, “I said to my girlfriends the other day, and I’ve said to them throughout this entire thing of trying to have a baby, that I’m so grateful for communicating because you can’t keep it in. I mean, it’s just not good for you if you do [keep it in]. So, I’ve told people this: lean on your loved ones, even if they’ve never had to deal with this before. I feel like it’s the best way.”

This month will mark ten years since Andrews was diagnosed with cervical cancer. Following her September 2016 diagnosis, the sportscaster underwent two operations before doctors were able to declare her cancer-free in 2017.

Andrews is now working with Cancerguard to raise awareness for its multi-cancer early detection test, which needs only a single blood draw to detect over 50 types and subtypes of cancer. Cancerguard is used to complement routine cancer screenings.

Speaking to Us, Andrews looked back on the day she found out about her cervical cancer diagnosis in September 2016.

“I remember exactly what I was doing,” she told Us. “I was sitting in a hotel meeting room on a Saturday. We were getting ready for week three of Eagles at Giants, and I was waiting for us to have a big production meeting. And I got a text message from my gynecologist, and she said, ‘Call me.’ And I thought, ‘Oh, my God, to get a text from a doctor on a Saturday, that says it’s not great.’ I had gone in for a routine screening. It was nothing, you know. I wasn’t having any symptoms. I wasn’t checking anything. I was just going because I religiously went to the doctor every single year.”

Andrews said her own experience with cancer makes her work with Cancerguard more significant as she wants to encourage “early detection” for others.

“I remember having an outer body experience. I remember not feeling my legs and my arms [when she was diagnosed],” Andrews recalled. “I remember my boyfriend, who’s my husband 1788296696, at the time, wanting to call him. I called my mom and dad. I got them on the phone. It was bad. It was all bad. And then we are very, very aggressive people with our health.”

She continued, “I wanted to have a surgery right away and then found out I had to have another surgery. It was a lot. It was a lot to handle. It was a lot of stress on my family as well, but it really, really pounded home the fact that I’m so glad I went to the doctor. I’m so glad I had a routine checkup because I was able to do something about it, and that’s honestly what Cancerguard is providing. You know, it’s a prescription blood test and it screens for more than 50 cancer types and subtypes, and that’s huge. It’s a huge peace of mind. It’s a great complement for your routine screening that you should be doing. That you should be making time for yourself.”

Nearly 10 years removed from her cancer battle, Andrews recently reached an important milestone in her remission.

“I graduated from going every six months to my amazing oncologist, who I go to every year,” she revealed to Us. “He always is so lovely, and he’s like, ‘You’re good, you’re good, you’re good.’ But I feel like once you’ve been told you have cancer, you are dreading your next doctor’s appointment because I felt fine. I didn’t have symptoms again.”

One of the most important reasons Andrews remains so proactive about her health is because she now has 3-year-old son Mack to care for.

“Everything takes on a different meaning when you have this little, 3-year-old bundle of joy that walks and talks and sounds like a human or like an adult,” she said. “You learn and especially what I put my body through to have him with all the IVF treatments and so forth. … Like, things are serious. Like, you’ve got to look at this [situation] and you really need to take care of yourself. You need to take care of him. You need to take care of your mental health even more because it’s a lot.”

Football fans can catch Andrews on the sidelines every week as part of Fox Sports’ NFL broadcasting team alongside play-by-play announcer Kevin Burkhardt and analyst Tom Brady.
