England continued their dominant run in the series with a comprehensive nine-wicket victory over India in the fourth T20I at Bristol, sealing the five-match series with one game still remaining. Harry Brook and Phil Salt took complete control from there, stitching together an unbeaten 146-run partnership for the second wicket to take the game away from the visitors.
Brook led the charge with a superb unbeaten 79, while Salt recovered from a slow start to finish unbeaten on 59. The duo attacked India’s bowlers from the powerplay onwards and never allowed the required rate to climb, guiding England to victory with more than six overs to spare.
The emphatic win handed England an unassailable lead in the series and their first-ever bilateral T20I series victory over India. Meanwhile, India will now hope to end the tour on a positive note in the fifth and final T20I after another disappointing outing.
