ABC doesn’t typically announce if General Hospital has been renewed for another year, the soap just keeps running. No news is often good news. The venerable daytime drama has been on the air for over six decades and is the alphabet network’s sole surviving soap. Will General Hospital survive to see a 64th season and the 2026-27 network TV season? Could ABC announce a renewal this time, or could it be cancelled and replaced by a talk show? Stay tuned.
Debuting in 1963 on April 1st, General Hospital revolves around the loves, lives, and deaths of the people of Port Charles, New York.
