GMA Michael Strahan Abruptly Ends Emotional Segment
Michael Strahan retired from the NFL in 2008. He successfully transitioned to a career in television. He pulls double duty during the NFL season as a sports analyst on Fox News and in his day job on Good Morning America. The former football player typically keeps things light on the morning program. But he couldn’t hold back his emotions during a recent interview and abruptly changed the topic.
Celebrity stylist Law Roach was a guest on GMA at the end of June to promote his upcoming project. He joins Heidi Klum, Nina Garcia, and Tyra Banks as judges on the new season of Project Runway. Former winner Christian Siriano also returns as mentor. The new season premieres on Freeform on Thursday, July 9, and streams on Hulu the next day.
Robin Roberts, Lara Spencer, and George Stephanopoulos joined Michael Strahan for the interview. Michael Strahan suggested during the segment that the famed stylist critique everyone’s outfits. However, he quickly backtracked, fearing it would bring his co-hosts to tears.
“So we thought we’d do something where you critique our outfits—nah, I’m joking,” Michael Strahan said. “We’re not going to do that. We don’t want to cry here on GMA this morning!” Michael Strahan said. Lara Spencer responded that Law Roach had already given her outfit his approval.

Law Roach Turns Zendaya Into Goddess For Movie Premiere
Law Roach retired from styling celebrities in 2023, with one exception. He kept Zendaya as a client. The two have worked together since 2011, when she was a teenager. He broke the news in March that the actress and her boyfriend, Tom Holland, had privately tied the knot.
Tom Holland and Zendaya are among the star-studded cast of Christopher Nolan’s film adaptation of The Odyssey. The film also stars Matt Damon as Odysseus, Anne Hathaway as Penelope, and Lupita Nyong’o as Helen of Troy.
Zendaya plays Athena, the Greek goddess of wisdom. The movie hits theaters on July 17, 2026, but had its world premiere in London earlier this week. Law Roach outdid himself styling Zendaya in a form-fitting white bodice and beaded skirt from Schiaparelli’s Fall/Winter 2026-27 collection. The look earned massive praise online, with many comparing Zendaya’s look to that of an actual Greek goddess.
