Heidi Klum dropped a countdown on Instagram Friday, and it’s one worth marking on your calendar. Project Runway Season 22 arrives in exactly 27 days.
The post was short and playful. On her Instagram, Klum wrote “27 days until @projectrunway Season 22 on @freeform, @hulu, and @disneyplus… but who’s counting?” She also tagged Christian Siriano with a heart emoji, confirming the beloved designer and head judge is back for another season.
The premiere lands on July 10, 2026. Season 22 will air on Freeform, Hulu, and Disney+ at the same time – the widest simultaneous release in the show’s history. Viewers on almost any platform will have easy access from the very first episode.
Project Runway has been bringing fashion, creativity, and the occasional dramatic runway moment into living rooms since 2004. A three-platform launch means even more homes can tune in from day one. Freeform carries the live broadcast. Hulu and Disney+ stream the same episode that same night, with no waiting for next-day availability.
Christian Siriano is a natural fit at that judge’s table. He won Season 4 of Project Runway in 2008 and went on to build one of the most respected independent fashion labels in the country. His brand has become known for inclusive sizing and dressing high-profile clients at major events. He rejoined the show as head judge in Season 17. He’s been a consistent presence at that panel ever since.
Klum has been at the heart of the competition almost from the start. She hosted from the premiere in 2004 through Season 16. Then she stepped away to focus on Germany’s Next Topmodel. She came back for Season 17 alongside Siriano. The two have built a warm, welcoming dynamic at the center of the show.
The show’s path to Freeform wasn’t straight. It started on Bravo in 2004, moved to Lifetime in 2009, then returned to Bravo for Seasons 17 and 18. Freeform picked it up starting with Season 19 in 2021. Each network move raised questions about whether the core audience would follow. Each time, it did. The Season 22 rollout on three platforms at once is the most ambitious distribution setup the show has seen.
No official contestant lineup has been announced yet. But Klum’s countdown post suggests the full promotional push is only getting started. Casting reveals, challenge previews, and designer spotlights are all likely to roll out over the coming weeks. July 10 will be here soon enough.
For anyone who loves watching designers race against the clock with a pile of fabric and a big idea, the wait is almost over.
Project Runway Season 22 premieres July 10, 2026, on Freeform. Same-day streaming is available on Hulu and Disney+.
