The Ocean chose them, next month will YOU chose them when Moana live action film arrives in cinemas. Ahead of that release Disney have released one Final Trailer as they open the box office!
The original animated feature is considered a classic, many wonder why it’s now reimagined as a live action? Many other films from Disney Studios have went down the live action route with mixed response. Those ones got made 20, 30 or more years after the original was released, all we can say is $$$ rather let things mature.
Moana will see Dwayne Johnson reprise his role as Maui with Catherine Lagaʻaia in the titular role. What this new promo confirms is Jermaine Clement is the voice of the giant crab Tamatoa. The rest of the cast also stars John Tui as Chief Tui, Moana’s father; Frankie Adams as her mother, Sina; and Rena Owen as her beloved Gramma Tala.
The exact plot is the same as the original film. A young woman calls out to the Ocean to put things right when her village is hit with a curse. She answers the call to confront the one who released the curse, the demi-god Maui.
