Plaion Pictures has released a new trailer for its upcoming survival horror/thriller Killer Whale, which comes to UK digital platforms next month. You can watch the trailer below.
Killer Whale is directed by Jo-Anne Brechin (Paper Champions) and co-written with Katharine McPhee (Love Is In The Air) and stars Virginia Gardner (Fall, F***, Marry, Kill) and Mel Jarson (Street Fighter, Mortal Kombat) as friends who head to paradise only to be stranded at sea with a killer orca circling them as they seek refuge on a rock just big enough to fit them both. As night dawns and the weather sets in, can they keep all their wits about them and survive so far out to sea?
Joining the ranks of The Shallows, Hungry, Crawl and The Reef, it is another installment in the killer animal sub-genre of horror and thrillers that audiences cannot get enough off. And, judging by the trailer, it might keep some people on the edge of their seats.
Synopsis:
Killer Whale is a gripping survival thriller centred around best friends, Trish (Virginia Gardner, FALL) and Maddie (Mel Jarson, MORTAL KOMBAT), who find themselves locked into a deadly face-off against the ocean’s apex predator: the orca. With a dark cloud of the past hanging over them, will they make it out alive or become a part of the food chain?
Killer Whale comes to UK digital platforms on May 18th.
