News had come out that musician Jelly Roll had been accused of making a death threat against a comedian. At the time, police had been sharing information about the case. However, since then, the comedian involved has also issued a response on social media.

The Metro Nashville Police Department Recently Discussed The Story With TMZ

Jelly Roll started his career in the early 2000s, with him gaining later fame with songs in the 2020s. He has since established himself as a media personality, such as serving as an “artist-in-residence” on American Idol.

News had previously come out that Jelly Roll had been the subject of accusations claiming that he had made a death threat against a comedian after what appeared to be an online feud. At the time, Nashville police had weighed in on the story.

TMZ had previously reported the story, claiming that comedian Nicole Arbour had alleged that Jelly Roll had made threats against her. However, while speaking with the outlet, the Metro Nashville Police Department shared that they would not be investigating the matter.

A spokesperson previously shared with the outlet, “As you’re probably aware, there appears to be an ongoing online back and forth between the two. No charges have been filed and there is no current investigation underway on the part of MNPD.”

Arbour had reportedly filed an incident report on March 1 and provided a video. Police told the outlet that they had reviewed the video and identified Jelly Roll and another man in it.

The report said that Jelly Roll said that he saw Arbour at a charity event with a camera. The comedian claims that he told her that “he would kill her” if he saw her with the camera. According to TMZ, police shared that they heard the comment while reviewing the footage.

Since then, Arbour herself has taken to social media to weigh in on the story. She appeared in a video alongside a screenshot of TMZ‘s IG share of the story.

Nicole Arbour Claimed That She Was Contacted By A Detective Shortly After The Story Broke On TMZ

In the video, Arbour discussed some “issues” with the report. She claimed that a detective investigating the story emailed her less than an hour after the TMZ story was released. Arbour also alleged that the investigation was paused because a witness could not be contacted. She also claimed that Jelly Roll paid TMZ to run stories.

Arbour alleged, “The first time I went to make a police report about Jelly Roll, which was Metro Nashville, the officer would not take it. I mean, they would not take it. They said they would not take it. They don’t want to get sued… That actually happened.”

Arbour also denied claims that she was carrying a camera during the incident. She continued, questioning the police making a statement with the outlet, sharing, “Ask yourself why the Metro Nashville Police would be making statements to TMZ that essentially discredit a victim of an active investigation, saying there is not active investigations when there are investigations and they should be active.”

Are police covering for @JellyRoll615 in Nashville!?!?!?
