Jelly Roll has never hidden the fact that he’s an addict and has struggled with addiction for many years. Now, he is admitting that he is back to his old addict ways, but will he be okay? Keep reading for more details.
Jelly Roll Has A Haunting Past
For decades, Jelly Roll struggled to be good. He was locked up more times than he could count and was not even around when his daughter, Bailee, was born. However, he was able to change his life and become a superstar. Moreover, when he is on tour, he makes an effort to speak to inmates about how anything is possible. When Jelly was deep in his addiction, his drug of choice was cocaine. Now, he is sober, but he still has extremist ways. He has dropped nearly three hundred pounds, but if he gains even a small amount of weight, he flips.
Currently, he is going through a divorce with Bunnie Xo. She has been emotionally struggling, but Jelly has gone back to his addictive ways. He admitted that his vice is food, and it does not matter what kind. The Grammy winner stated that he could have healthy or unhealthy food in front of him. Either way, it is all getting eaten in one sitting because he cannot stop himself:
“I’ve been overeating the last three or four days and I was feeling myself stress eating. And then, what else happened, was the addict in me came out.”
Admittedly, Jelly Roll has no stopgap, and he knows this. Fortunately, he is aware, but it does not make it any easier for him to find resolution. He spoke out about his struggles, which he often does, in a recent video.
“What I learned is how you do anything is how you do everything. I’m like that with alcohol. I’m like that, I’ve never done, I’ve never done ‘a shot.’ I’ve never done ‘a line’ of cocaine. I’ve never smoked ‘a joint.’ You know what I mean? Either we’re smoking all day, we’re drinking all night, we’re doing coke.”
Fans Applaud Jelly

- He is a man that has been given a platform and he is doing great things
- He is spot on about the food addiction. He has done such a great job.
- I love his honesty and down to earth character
- what he said is so true its a mental cause but you can change it once you realize what you’re hungry for.
