New details have surfaced revealing how Jelly Roll and Bunnie Xo faced serious tension in their marriage that has led to a divorce.
Sources close to the situation claim Bunnie’s “provocative” image has been clashing with the country music star’s growing “faith-centered lifestyle.”
Jelly Roll was reportedly forced to call it quits on their marriage as the couple struggled to “reconcile” their vastly different worlds.
According to Page Six, Jelly Roll and his now-estranged wife, Bunnie Xo, can no longer see eye to eye on several matters due to their vastly different brands.
An insider who spoke to the news outlet noted that there were various issues that strained the couple’s marriage, especially as the singer began to focus more on his health while curating an image centered on his Christian faith.
“Some people around them felt there was growing tension as Jelly embraced a more faith-centered lifestyle while Bunnie continued building the outspoken and provocative brand that had always been authentic to her,” the insider said.
They continued, “Whether that’s fair or not, it became increasingly difficult to reconcile those two worlds.”

The insider further elaborated on how Bunnie and Jelly Roll’s marriage took a major hit because of their inability to see eye-to-eye on various issues.

However, with Bunnie sticking to her usual brand, and Jelly Roll seemingly sanitizing his by focusing more on his faith and leading a healthy lifestyle, the couple gradually grew apart.

The country star was the one who made the move to officially end the marriage, as reports noted that he filed for divorce from Bunnie back on May 18, listing their date of separation as May 9.
In the legal documents, Jelly Roll cited “irreconcilable differences” as the reason for their divorce, further stating that “the parties are unable to live together successfully as Husband and Wife.”
Regarding their shared assets, Jelly Roll is said to have proposed that he and Bunnie have an “equitable division of the parties’ assets and apportion responsibility for payment of the parties’ debts.”
“The Husband would state that during the marriage the parties have accumulated certain real and personal property, and incurred certain marital debts,” the document read, per Us Weekly.
It continued, “The Husband anticipates that the parties will execute and enter into a Marital Dissolution Agreement that provides for the division of the parties’ marital assets and debts. Plaintiff asks that the Court approve any Marital Dissolution Agreement entered into by the parties upon the expiration of the statutory waiting period.”

Months before Jelly Roll filed for divorce, he and Bunnie were plagued by split rumors, seemingly due to their limited outings together.
Fans began to speculate about the state of their marriage as they no longer saw them attending events as a couple.
Addressing the rumors in an August 2025 episode of her “Dumb Blonde” podcast, the media personality stressed that all was well between her and Jelly Roll, noting that the reason why they were hardly seen in public was that she was trying to get pregnant.
“Someone said the other day, ‘They used to always be together, and now you never see them together,’” Bunnie stated, per The Blast. “I’m like, ‘Do you guys not know that for the past six months [that] I’ve been trying to make a baby?”
She added at the time that she had been on “IVF meds for f-cking six months and going through heartbreak and f-cking so much sh-t” in their quest to have a baby.

Before their divorce, Bunnie and Jelly Roll seemed to be on great terms, with the singer even praising his wife for openly talking about their marriage struggles and her challenging past in her memoir, “Stripped Down: Unfiltered and Unapologetic,” which was released in February this year.
In the book, she spoke about working on saving their marriage, learning to trust Jelly Roll again, and moving past his infidelity.
Jelly Roll also previously acknowledged his cheating ways, admitting in an interview that it was “one of the worst moments” in his adult life.
In another interview, he praised Bunnie for being open about their marriage, saying, “I’m just proud of her for telling her story so unapologetically. I mean, she talks about everything fearlessly, from domestic assault to sexual assault. I’m just proud of her. She’s so brave.”
