Jelly Roll is keeping his head held high amid his divorce from his longtime wife and love of his life, Bunnie Xo. He just released a motivational single to add to the list of big things ahead of him now that he is a single man. Keep reading for more details and to hear his latest release.
Jelly Roll Is Moving On With Music
The one thing that is always healing for musicians is their art. For Jelly Roll, that is writing songs. He just released a new single amid his divorce from his wife of a decade, Bunnie Xo. It appeared to be a perfect love story, but looks can be deceiving. They claim that they are remaining the best of friends as well as co-parents. Some even feel that this is purely a PR stunt, which very well could be true. However, they are moving on as if it were a genuine heartbreak, and, on Wednesday, June 24th, Jelly had a new single ready for fans to enjoy.
It was somewhat of a motivational single, which makes sense given the time he is going through. The single is “Hands Up,” and is billed as a “gospel-tinged country stadium anthem.” The lyrics are such:
- GA packed in the pit / Me and all those people people called nothing but troubled kids / If there was ever a fire in me, yeah that’s the night I got it lit
In the song, Jelly Roll encourages everyone to reach up to heaven, as that is where they want to go in the end.
This comes after he shared his road to dropping nearly 300 pounds and how hard it was to get that motivation. It seemed that Jelly was always setting goals to begin his fitness journey. Yet, he always had an excuse or a reason to stop. Finally, he got himself up and out because there were no more tomorrows. Jelly Roll hopes he can continue to be an inspiration to anyone who needs a kick to get up and go.
A New Lease On Life
Now that Antioch, Tennessee native Jelly Roll has filed for divorce from Bunnie Xo, he is trying his hand at new ventures. Not only does he have a new single, but he will be taking over Jimmy Kimmel Live. He has done this in the past, and now he is set to return. Jimmy Kimmel will be on a two-month hiatus and has selected a handful of celebs to take over. Some fans are not so thrilled with Jelly sitting at the desk, but time will tell how it will affect ratings. As for the new single, are fans loving it?
