Queen Of England Shares Reaction To 2026 Visit To U.S.
When Queen Elizabeth died in 2022, her son Charles became King. His second wife, Camilla, was crowned Queen in 2023 when King Charles ascended the throne. Before he was officially King, Charles and Camilla visited the United States on several occasions. However, their visit this month was his first as a King.
Today Show Jenna Bush Hager interviewed four former living U.S. Presidents for a feature on the upcoming 250th anniversary of the country’s independence. She was given the rare honor of interviewing Queen Camilla again during the Royals’ visit to the United States. The former First Daughter met Camilla in 2005 when President George W. Bush and First Lady Laura Bush hosted a special state dinner during a diplomatic visit to the U.S.
Queen Camilla shared her reaction to her first visit to America in years. “It’s been really good fun, but we have moved quite fast. But it’s been wonderful, and everybody’s been very kind and welcoming. It’s always a pleasure to be here. It’s always lovely to be back in New York,” she said about the 2026 visit.

Today Host & Queen Vow To Work Together Amid ‘Failing’ Literacy In Children
Reading and literacy are causes important to Jenna Bush Hager and Queen Camilla. The Today Show host asked the Queen if she had a message for the American people. “Well, I’d like to say, keep reading. I think it’s very important, and you know, specialist statistics are showing reading is falling in children. We’ve got to find a way of bringing it up,” she said.
Jenna Bush Hager responded by suggesting they work together to promote reading. “She is lovely and very hilarious, and also has this really deep and abiding passion for books. Her non-profit is doing such incredible work,” she gushed to her co-hosts about Queen Camilla after the interview aired.
