John Leguizamo is taking his fight against U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) to the agency’s supporters.

The actor, who recently starred in Christopher Nolan‘s “The Odyssey,” called on those who support ICE to stop watching his movies, attending his shows, or following him. The Golden Globe nominee has long been a vocal critic of the agency, particularly over what he believes is its increasingly aggressive treatment of immigrants.

John Leguizamo says ICE supporters shouldn’t watch his movies.

His message drew attention as he urged those who back immigration enforcement to stop supporting his work.

Months after speaking out against ICE in interviews, Leguizamo has made it clear that the agency’s supporters are not exempt from his criticism.

In a video shared by Headquarters Newsroom, the actor blasted ICE supporters and urged them to sever any connection they have with him.

“If you follow ICE, unfollow me,” said a stern-faced Leguizamo in the clip. “Don’t come to my shows, and don’t watch my movies.”

His remarks drew support from some social media users who have also criticized ICE’s actions in recent months.

“Thank you, John. Just a bigger and bigger fan,” one user wrote, while another commented, “Yes, lines must be drawn.”

“Never supported I.C.E. I’m for the protection of civilians, no matter what their nationality is,” a third person added.

Earlier this year, Leguizamo joined fellow actors Lin-Manuel Miranda and Constance Wu at “The People’s Filibuster,” a protest organized in response to the ICE killings of U.S. citizens Alex Pretti, Renee Good, and Keith Porter Jr.

The demonstration was organized by The Public Theater, which also released a statement condemning ICE’s actions while explaining its collaboration with the participating artists.

“We stand in solidarity with our neighbors in Minnesota and across the country who are angry and grieving, protesting state-sanctioned violence and abuses of power, and organizing for the safety, dignity, and human rights of all,” the statement read.

It continued: “Artists have always been among the first to name the unspoken, to hear the unheard, and to imagine a more just world. In this moment of crisis, our intention is to create a collective interruption that invites reflection, accountability, and recommitment to the values we claim as a nation, protesting and contrasting the abhorrent violence and abuses we are witnessing all around us.”

Actor Says Latino Families Are Bearing The Brunt

In one of the interviews where Leguizamo spoke out against ICE, the actor said he believes Latino communities are bearing the brunt of the agency’s enforcement actions.

“The majority of the people that we’re seeing being targeted are Latino people. And they are Latino moms, fathers, and dads. It is a disrespect to Latin life,” the actor said during an appearance on “Morning Joe.”

Leguizamo also said he had spoken with many members of the Latino community, who told him they were “heartbroken” by images of Latinos being targeted in ICE crackdowns.

He went on to describe those affected as “the essential workers of America,” adding that it was unfair they were being treated that way.

Leguizamo has also shown little hesitation in criticizing fellow actors he believes support ICE.

The “Bob Trevino Likes It” star was among those who slammed Dean Cain after the former “Lois & Clark” actor announced he was joining ICE as an officer.

“What kind of loser volunteers to be an ICE officer?” Leguizamo said in a video posted to Instagram. “What a moron. Dean Cain, your pronouns are has/been.”

In a separate Instagram Story, Leguizamo continued his criticism by sharing a doctored DVD cover featuring Cain’s likeness beneath the satirical title “AGED ICE.”

Leguizamo’s support for immigrants also extends to his Instagram account, where he frequently shares pro-immigrant posts and advocacy content.

One post from 4TaxFairness that he reshared claimed undocumented immigrants may pay more in taxes than some billionaires.

“Undocumented immigrants paid $96.7 billion in federal, state, and local taxes in 2022. Some multi-billionaires paid $0. Immigrants aren’t the problem in this economy. Billionaires are,” the post read.

In another post, Leguizamo shared a graphic from Define American bearing the message, “America is stronger because of immigrants.” He also reposted another graphic that declared, “Migration is not a crime. It is an act of courage.”
