John Stamos has encountered a lot of people throughout his career. Recently, he unexpectedly met with someone close to someone from his past. However, the two weren’t alone. Since then, both men have also opened up about the story.
John Stamos Could Be Seen Running Into Someone While Attending A Party For Howie Mandel
As an actor, Stamos first became known to many for playing Blackie Parrish on General Hospital. However, he gained further recognition playing Jesse Katsopolis, or “Uncle Jesse,” on the ABC sitcom, Full House. He later reprised the role on the Netflix spin-off, Fuller House.
In a recently resurfaced photo, Stamos could be seen attending a party. What surprised a few fans, however, he was standing alongside someone with a special connection to someone from his past.
This was actor Jerry O’Connell, who has been married to Rebecca Romijn since 2007 and shares two twin daughters with her. Prior to this, Romijn was married to John Stamos from 1998 to 2005.
The photo, which was first shared in November 2025, appeared to be at a party for Howie Mandel’s 70th birthday. Taking to the comments, the America’s Got Talent judge shared, “This is what I do. I bring people together. You’re welcome.”
Both Stamos & Jerry O’Connell Assured That They Had A Nice Chat
For his part, O’Connell captioned the post, “Gorgeous fam and gorgeous people.” Standing alongside them was Caitlin McHugh, who married Stamos in 2018. While his breakup with Romijn was known to be hard for Stamos, the encounter with O’Connell appeared to be perfectly cordial.
Following the share, Stamos later discussed the encounter on an episode of “The Really Good Podcast,” hosted by Bobbi Althoff. At the time, he was nothing but complimentary of O’Connell. He shared, “He was very sweet… he was very nice… he couldn’t have been sweeter… he was very, very funny and very charming.”
For his part, O’Connell also touched on the moment during an episode of Andy Cohen’s SiriusXM show. He noted that, at the time, he knew he had to go over to talk to Stamos at the party, feeling it was unavoidable. He shared, “I said, ‘Hey man, how are you? It’s so good to see you.’” O’Connell assured that it was a “100 million percent” friendly conversation, sharing that the two even hugged.
O’Connell shared that he acts like something of a “buffer” between Stamos and Romijn. As he explained, he lets her know about things Stamos has said about her that he thinks she might want to know about.
