The authorities have shared very little information about the case. Early reports indicated that they believed the elderly woman was abducted from her home in the middle of the night. Nancy Guthrie’s disappearance received wall-to-wall media coverage in the first few days and weeks. New theories popped up on social media as more information about the investigation came out. Khloe Kardashian shared her thoughts on the abduction during an interview with Ashley Flowers, the host of the Crime Junkie podcast.
They both expressed disbelief that the police haven’t been able to find Nancy Guthrie with all of the technology that exists in 2026. Most homes have surveillance cameras. However, the authorities weren’t able to get much off the 84-year-old’s security cameras except for a masked individual disabling the cameras the night she went missing.
Khloe Kardashian revealed that she thinks Nancy Guthrie is still alive and shared a shocking theory. “I don’t know if I know enough about this case, but like all the things I was reading about the brother-in-law and that kind of stuff, I’m like, oof,” she said. The reality star was referring to Nancy Guthrie’s son-in-law, Tommaso Cioni, who is married to her daughter, Annie.
He immediately became a suspect of interest to amateur social media sleuths. He was the last person to see Nancy Guthrie alive after dropping her off at her home on January 31, the night she went missing. She hasn’t been seen since. However, the police publicly cleared Tommaso Cioni and all family members of involvement in her disappearance.
