The islanders had to choose if they wanted to stay in their couple or explore a new option. Sean chose to stay with Beatriz. However, she chose the opposite. She ended up spending the night with Gabriel, the new bombshell.

It has been revealed that Sean is no longer a cop in Pennsylvania. However, they made a statement saying that he resigned. His mother has spoken out on this and revealed that it is not true. She revealed that Sean had taken leave to go on the show. However, when he got to Fiji, they denied his leave. She is disappointed in the choices they decided to make with the statements.
Also, I think it’s interesting that they say he resigned because he was told to put in for leave before going to on the show. And then after arriving in Fiji his leave was denied.
She is upset by what they are saying about her son. However, fans do not blame her for feeling this way about it.
It seems as though his mother does not agree with what happened. He put in leave to go on the show. However, when he got to Fiji, they denied his leave. At this point, there was nothing he could do about it. So, he is no longer working for the city. This was shocking for a lot of people to hear. However, this is going to be something he has to deal with when he returns.
