Véronique Courtois is the new head of LVMH’s beauty division, replacing Stéphane Rinderknech, the company announced on Monday.

Courtois has worked at LVMH since 2000 in a range of beauty roles, including chief marketing officer and then chief executive of Guerlain. She has been president of Parfums Christian Dior since March 2023 and will retain the role while also overseeing LVMH’s beauty portfolio and joining the company’s executive committee.

Rinderknech, who held the role since March 2023, has left the company to pursue personal projects, according to a statement.

LVMH’s beauty portfolio includes prestige brands like Benefit Cosmetics, Fresh and Make Up For Ever, as well as the cosmetics output from the fashion houses Dior and Givenchy and incubated labels like Rihanna’s Fenty Beauty. Dior has been especially successful at recruiting younger shoppers with viral products like its Lip Glow Oil and Rosy Glow Blush.

However, despite Dior’s successes, and other buzzy launches like Guerlain’s popular fragrance assortment, beauty sales slid 1 percent in LVMH’s fourth-quarter earnings announced in January, and were flat for the full year of 2025.

How Dior and Chanel Are Tackling Fashion’s Pricing Problem

France’s biggest couture giants are bulking up their assortments of handbags and small accessories at the lower end of their offer as they seek to reengage customers after years of some of the industry’s punchiest price hikes.

LVMH is part of a group of investors who, together, hold a minority interest in The Business of Fashion. All investors have signed shareholder’s documentation guaranteeing BoF’s complete editorial independence.
