Mama June Shannon’s eldest granddaughter, Kaitlyn Shannon, has grown up in the public eye. Her late mother, Anna Cardwell, was pregnant with Kaitlyn when the family was filming Here Comes Honey Boo Boo. Kaitlyn Shannon Showcases Brand New Look
For over a decade, Mama June fans have watched Kaitlyn Shannon evolve. She was in Anna Cardwell’s belly when Here Comes Honey Boo Boo first began and soon became a core cast member. As the years went by, Anna was estranged from June, but they came back together for the sake of the family in 2021. From there, they were united as June and Justin Stroud renewed their vows. Unfortunately, with happiness came tragedy as Anna was diagnosed with stage 4 adrenal carcinoma. She passed in December 2023, leaving behind two daughters, Kaitlyn and Kylee.
Anna’s ex-husband got custody of Kylee, while Mama June was granted custody of Kaitlyn, and fans have watched her grow into a little lady. Moreover, she has become a little Anna, which has been incredible to see. Now, June shared a big moment as Kaitlyn got ready for her middle school dance. She posed between Justin and June while donning a floor-length red dress with a slit up the side. It had a deep V down the chest, and Kaitlyn’s blonde locks were parted in loose waves. She towered over her grandparents as she had on high red heels.
Kaitlyn still had on her glasses, but she was virtually unrecognizable, tall, slim, and all grown up. It is hard to believe that she was ever a little baby. However, Kaitlyn is a strong-willed but funny teenager who is not letting tragedy get her down. Moreover, she seems to be very happy with Mama June and Justin raising her. Fans were somewhat worried, but this snap should ease their minds.
A Beautiful Moment
After Mama June fans saw Kaitlyn Shannon getting ready for her big dance, they could not get over how much she favored Anna Cardwell. Moreover, they had to note, once again, how much she looked like her mother, and how proud Anna would be:

- She looks beautiful 😍 her mama is watching over with a big smile. While we all feel June and Justin weren’t the best choice for guardians it seems like Kaitlyn is doing really well. I wish her the best and pray that she is like Alana and goes off to do her own thing.

Some were thankful that Kaitlyn had Justin Stroud, as they still questioned if June could be nurturing. However, more will be revealed when Season 8 of Mama June: Family Crisis begins on March 13th. It will follow Pumpkin Efird’s relationship post-divorce and Alana Thompson’s life in Denver, Colorado. There is also so much more that the family is dealing with, such as health, love, and relationships, so get ready.
